Replacement Front Sprocket for Motorcycles
When buying a new front sprocket there is two things you need to know, and that is tooth count and pitch of existing sprocket. 1st you will look for a stamping that says how many teeth it has and what you’re looking for is a stamping of 14T, 15T, 16T or 17T, and this now tells you the tooth count of the front sprocket. 2nd you will need to find the tooth pitch and this is what matches to the rollers of the chain. The stamping marks will be 520, 525, or 530. This pitch will tell you what rear sprocket pitch and chain you are running as well. After you have both numbers you can now purchase the correct front sprocket.
